Best Stove Top Cleaner
Alright, I know I am not the only one that can be a little messy when it comes to cooking. Okay, maybe a I’m a little more than messy, I tend to overflow water, pop sauce, oil, or grease all over the place. After my first mess cooking on my new flat stove top I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out the best way to remove the cooked on food that I had let sit over night. I went to Walmart and bought a daily cook top cleaner, which well that didn’t work so well. I then was determined to find something so I went hunting on Pinterest.
Oh good old Pinterest. I won’t lie, I tried pretty much every suggestion there was to cleaning off the stubborn baked on food. From vinegar and baking soda to dawn dish soap and well vinegar. Nothing seemed to work like I wanted it to, and they streaked my stove top so bad that I didn’t want to even try it again. I’m really picky and you wouldn’t really have guessed it from some of the rooms in my house that I can be a clean freak. This drove me absolutely nuts that I couldn’t get rid of all that build up on my stove.
So I turned to a likely source, that I’m sure most women turn to when they need some advice. My mother. Bless her heart she told me what her and my dad used on their ceramic stove top. Cerama Bryte. This stuff has been so amazing I cannot even begin to fathom how much I love this little cleaner. All you need to do are a few things to get a nice pristine stove top, and have it look like it was brand new all over again! You can buy Cerama Bryte from Home Depot, Lowes, or good old Amazon. I picked up this kit here on Amazon.
First off take a good old look at your stove, and look at all the areas you need to scrap off. What’s nice with the kit I linked above it is comes with a scraper that is safe to use on top of your stove. No need to worry about scratching and any damage being done.
After you have scraped up anything that has been burnt onto the stove wipe off any kind of left over crumbs and residue with a cloth then apply the Cerama Bryte. Then of course scrub it with the tools given. Don’t be afraid to apply some elbow grease, just make sure you get everywhere.
Then wipe that off to reveal your nice clean stove top that looks like new!
Seriously I was so excited to see how clean this got my stove. We’ve been living in our newly built home for six months now, and it drove me nuts for my stove to look older than my actual home. So now that I have added this cleaner to my list of must haves, I don’t ever plan on running out of it!
